Our History and Achievements
Ratho Athletic FC was established as an amateur football team with the vision of providing a platform for local talent to shine and to foster a love for football within the community. Over the years, we have stayed true to this vision, achieving remarkable milestones along the way.

Dunedin and League Cups 1991/92: In our inaugural season, we made an impressive start by clinching both the Dunedin and League Cups, setting the stage for future successes.

League Champions 1997/98: Our determination and skill were on full display as we piped Melville Rovers to win the league, a highlight in our club's history.

Various Promotions: Throughout our journey, we have earned multiple promotions as runners-up, showcasing our consistent performance and competitive spirit.

Centenary Cup Winners 2019/20: The 2019/20 season saw us lifting the prestigious Centenary Cup, showcasing our competitive spirit and resilience.

LEAFA Championship Winners 2020/21: Our crowning glory came in the 2020/21 season when we clinched the LEAFA Championship title, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our players, coaches, and committee.

Progress through the Divisions: Starting from the lower leagues, we have steadily climbed the ranks through sheer determination and teamwork. Our journey has been marked by significant victories and the unwavering support of our fans.

Current Status: Today, we compete in the LEAFA Premiership, having worked our way up through the divisions. Our current status in the top tier of amateur football is a reflection of our continuous improvement and ambition.

Our Growth: We are thrilled to announce the formation of our Over 35's team, which will be entering the LEAFA Over 35's league. This new addition to our club provides an exciting opportunity for players over 35 to continue their love for the game and stay involved in competitive football. The creation of this team reflects our commitment to inclusivity and offering football opportunities for individuals of all ages. We look forward to seeing our experienced players take to the pitch and contribute to the club’s growing presence in the local football community.

The Village of Ratho
