Fence Installation Complete – A Safer Ratho Park for All

We’re absolutely delighted to share that the new fence around the car park at Ratho Park is now fully installed. This marks a big step forward in making the park a safer and more secure place for everyone in the community.
This project wouldn’t have been possible without the support, generosity, and hard work of some amazing people and local businesses.
First off, a huge thank you to Kev Paxton and his brilliant team at ArtFe for manufacturing the fence and assisting throughout the process. Their craftsmanship and commitment to the project were second to none.
An equally big thank you goes to Chris Dearn and his team at Modearn Driveways, who not only helped prepare the area but also carried out the full installation of the fence. Their hard work and professionalism were key to getting everything completed to such a high standard.
We’re also incredibly grateful to The Lawries at Ransfield Farm, whose generous support helped with funding the fence and ensuring the project could move ahead.
To everyone who donated, offered support, or played a part in any way, thank you. It’s because of this incredible community spirit that we’ve been able to get this done.
With the new fence now in place, we’re hopeful that it will significantly reduce vandalism around the park and help create a safer, more welcoming space. Not just for the club, but for the wider community, especially the kids and families who use it week in, week out.
Next Steps: Improving the Playing Surface
With the fence complete, our attention now turns to repairing and improving the playing surface following the Gala Day. This will include top soiling, rolling, and reseeding the pitch, all aimed at bringing the grass quality up to a much higher standard.
We’re committed to making Ratho Park a place the whole community can be proud of, and these improvements are another step toward achieving that goal.
